DJW has company over for celebration The staff and management of Dallas Jewish Week played host to more than 50 area notables of the Jewish community on March 28, in an event that marked the newspaper's six-month "anniversary." Rabbi Yitzchak Cohen of Congregation Tiferet Israel, the senior-most Hebrew holyman in these parts, installed the mezuzah and instilled the crowd with words of wisdom. The catered event was a chance for many of the Dallas leaders behind the decision to bring a Jewish newspaper company to the area to meet some of the folks responsible for its operation, including Craig Burke, publisher of Washington Jewish Week, the parent newspaper, and editor Terri Jo Ryan. Other staff members on hand for the occasion were controller Alison Murray, graphics wizards Fred Rodriguez and David Jensen; sales team Sharon Karlebach, Nancy Geyer and Robert Berger; and freelance writers Tamara Stokes and Ladye Sparks.
